Gray Brothers Builders Ltd has been a part of Dunedin's architectural history since the late 1800s. Our story began when a bustling Dunedin City was the centre of New Zealand's financial and architectural industries. Dunedin is recognised as New Zealand's leader for architecture, using artistry and world-class engineering skills to craft beautiful homes and commercial buildings on some of the steepest streets you can imagine.
Over the years, Dunedin has created a strong culture and know-how of traditional craftsmanship – and canny engineering to deal with those hills! These traditions have now been passed down to more than seven generations of Dunedin builders. In 1974, Keith and Murray Gray started working together creating architecturally designed dream homes. Having grown up in Dunedin, today's owners Mark and Paul feel a real sense of pride and responsibility to continue in the footsteps of some of the great Dunedin builders.
